Reframing Background Checks with Behavioral Analysis

With the rollout of our improved product, Ferretly has made some modifications. In addition to scanning for accounts on Pinterest and having an enhanced report, Ferretly has changed the naming conventions of groups of flags. What was formerly called Risk Classifications is now Behavioral Analysis. These shifts have been made to assure better alignment with FCRA and other governmental regulations around pre-employment screening.

Along with the overall name change, the behaviors have been simplified and given more fitting names:

  • Violent Images are now referred to as Gory Images, and Ferretly will no longer flag for guns and knives.
  • Explicit/Racy Images are now referred to as Nudity Images. There is no material change to the content, which is flagged.
  • Drug Related Images are now referred to as Drug Images. Ferretly will no longer flag for alcohol.
  • Insults and Bullying, as well as Toxic language, have been collapsed into a single behavioral attribute called Disparaging.
  • Hate Speech is now referred to as Prejudice.
  • Extremism/Terrorism has been eliminated. Some of the content Ferretly would flag for this now falls under the renamed behavior Politics/Government.
  • Threats of Violence are now referred to as Threats.
  • Sexual Impropriety is now referred to as Suggestive.
  • Obscene language is now referred to as Profanity.
  • Narcotics is now referred to as Drug/Alcohol Mention.
